Guardian Security is incredibly proud of our employees who have participated in the Family Promise of Whatcom County Bed Race, an annual event that raises money to support children and their families experiencing homelessness in Whatcom County.
Our team, Guardians of the County, qualified for the finals of this important event on September 26 and prepared to face off the competition from VECA Electric on October 31. After experiencing a bent wheel from a previous race at the hairpin turn, it was no small feat! This team is serious about competing for a good cause.
Heartfelt kudos to team members Arron, Larry, Ash, Matt and Alex for their stamina. We also greatly appreciate the cheers from staff members Erica, April and Ralph, and the support from Chase the Pit Crew Boss, who performed repairs between heats.
About the Family Promise Bed Race
The Family Promise of Whatcom County Bed Race Whatcom helps families experiencing homelessness work their way to a home of their own. This annual event has grown over the years by doubling the number of sponsorships.
In 2021, the 4th annual race raised over $26,000 through donations and sponsorships to support children and their families experiencing homelessness in Whatcom County.
