Our Community Service this Holiday Season

Our Community Service this Holiday Season

Every year, our Guardian Security branches throughout Washington state take place in holiday service projects to benefit their local communities. This year, each branch has chosen its own activity to benefit these specific organizations.

Seattle Office – Mary’s Place

Our flagship Seattle location will be hosting a donation drive for Mary’s Place, an organization that envisions a community where no child sleeps outside and all families have safety, stability, and housing. Mary’s Place operates five emergency family shelters in King County, where they keep families safely together indoors when they have no place else to go. They also work with property owners to convert empty, underutilized buildings into temporary shelters — a unique model that keeps buildings safe and occupied while awaiting redevelopment. When families experiencing homelessness work with Mary’s Place, they receive resources, housing services, and employment services — plus, a supportive community that provides them with hope.

Tacoma Office – Rescue Mission

Our Tacoma branch will be hosting a donation drive for the Tacoma Rescue Mission through the end of December. The Tacoma Rescue Mission provides safe, warm shelter; gives crucial, nutritious meals; and offers life-transforming care, plus other vital resources, to those in need. They serve the homeless or hurting with self-sufficiency programs to help lift people from poverty, and break the chains of addiction with support prevention programs. The mission offers help, hope and healing to the most impoverished and vulnerable members of the community in Tacoma.

Bellingham Office – Holiday Joy Program

Our Bellingham team is donating gifts to the local Holiday Joy program through Interfaith Coalition. The eight staff members of the office will be donating two gifts each to 30 children whose families participate in the coalition’s housing program or Opportunity Council program. These are Whatcom County children who would normally not receive gifts; the program is designed to help the parents of participating families focus their time and resources on their continued path out of homelessness, while ensuring their children will still receive gifts from a caring community.

Guardian Security is proud of its dedicated employees who commit to serving and supporting their communities during the busy holiday season. To learn how you can help, contact your local Guardian Security branch.
