New Citations for Preventable Fire Alarms or False Alarms

The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) recently released information about new citations that go into effect in 2020 and we wanted to make sure that you had access to this information. For more detailed information refer to SFD Memo #5970. 

New Citations for Failing to Maintain Fire Protection Systems

We would like to update you on the new citations for late Systems Testing Reports. Beginning in 2020, SFD will issue citations to business owners who fail to send in their Systems Testing Reports on time. There is more in-depth information on these citations and reporting for fire alarm systems on the Seattle Government website at http://www.seattle.gov/fire/business-services/systems-testing#impairedsystems.
